Ditto, a small independent music distribution company, asked us to bring their Record Label in a Box idea to life - a revolutionary new toolkit enabling artists to set up and run their own label.
As Ditto work with musicians from all walks of life, the packaging design needed to appeal to everyone from rockers to rappers, so we took inspiration from the universally relevant – and visually engaging – motif of sound waves.
Our choice of paper stock and print finish gave the box exterior a premium feel, whilst the use of bold, eye-catching neon ‘sound waves’ helped to differentiate the product tiers.
Inside, we’ve captured the excitement of being signed for the first time with a personalised certificate, replicating a traditional record vinyl in a sleeve.
Record Label In a Box has generated heaps of interest, especially in America, and is well on track to smash its sales forecasts.
