Abol is an exciting new brand with an innovative and convenient new product for coffee lovers – filtered coffee in a bag made from the finest Ethiopian beans.

We were briefed to develop a brand identity and packaging design to help launch Abol in the UK.

Drawing on the brand’s provenance, we created a unique logo design that represents the 3 cups of coffee served during a traditional Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony, using tints to symbolise the different strengths of each cup from the strongest, known as Abol, to the weakest.

Our packaging design solution is clean and simple to reflect the premium nature of the product and uses an earthy colour palette to represent the coffee’s African origins.
